On March 20, 2010, Shannon and Joe‘s began their day at the Marriot in Newport, RI. When I arrived, she was writing a love note to Joe. As Shannon was getting ready with her bridal party, she commented to me that Joe, who was at the spa getting his “nails done” was a “very masculine bride”. hahahaha
Joe is a military man and Shannon is a southern belle and theirs was a Destination Wedding for both of them. The two chose to unite at the Newport Officer’s Club. Why? Because of Joe’s Dad. Even though Joe’s father is deceased, his role on their wedding day was hugely significant. Shannon and Joe incorporated his Dad into the entire day with loving reverence.
Both families traveled to RI to celebrate Shannon and Joe‘s love and, for me, observing the happiness that filled the room was truly fulfilling.
Back in March, there was one killer hot weekend … it was their weekend! The weather was simply amazing and blessed them with a beautiful summer day in March!
Joe is currently overseas serving his country – thank you Joe and we wish you a tour of duty that goes by quickly and, of course, a very safe return. We want to extend our best wishes to both Shannon and Joe … we hope that yours is a journey filled with love and happiness!
