Happy Anniversary, Holly and Craig!

As we pack up our gear to get ready for today’s wedding, we’re thinking of Holly and Craig, who tied the knot just one year ago today. Holly and Craigs’s wedding day began on the gorgeous grounds of a residence Holly was renting in Newport, Rhode Island, where she and her “besties” began to prep for her big day. Craig met up with us all a few hours later to see his bride-to-be for the first time. After the “first look” between Holly and Craig, a few tears of joy, and some “ohhs” and “awws” from their bridal party, we began snapping the family and bridal portraits. We had fun in various areas of the property. Thank you to the landlord for leaving his old vintage bicycle ☺ – it made for a fabulous and fun prop.

We had so much fun that we grabbed the entire bridal party and traveled all over downtown Newport, Rhode Island – using Thames St, the docks, and the baseball park as our backdrop. Holly’s sister even brought along some kitchy props like mustaches and lips to add an element of fun!

We then headed over to Belle Mer for an intimate ceremony on the lawn. Holly is very creative, and her bridal party’s colorful dresses complemented her elegant lace dress perfectly. Another fun touch was at the close of the ceremony, when Holly and Craig placed items in a time capsule box, which is to be opened on their anniversary.

We loved the artsy vibe of Holly and Craig’s day – as did Southern New England Wedding Magazine! A few of Holly and Craig’s fun wedding party photos, and images of their time capsule box were recently featured in the magazine.
