Happy Anniversary, Caitlin and Matthew!

Sara met Caitlin and Matthew (and their puppy!) a few months before their wedding, when we got together for their engagement session in Newport, Rhode Island. We got some great shots in Newport, and Caitlin ordered some framed artwork. 🙂

These two met when they were at Boston University (where they both made lots of friends who all knew they would get married one day :-)), so they decided to have their big day take place in Boston – at the New England Aquarium!

Before heading to the park for the couple’s First Look, Sara met Caitlin at her hotel for some “getting ready” shots. Caitlin is a great subject, with her easy smile and zest for life. 🙂

Before the ceremony, we got a lot of great shots, all in the downtown Boston area around the aquarium. They really wanted to have fun with the pictures, so they decided to incorporate their favorite movies: Bridesmaids and The Life Aquatic. We got some great shots of the couple and their bridal party mimicking scenes from each movie!

After the ceremony on the dock overlooking the bay, we headed inside to the penguin area for cocktail hour! This Boston-loving couple made sure they incorporated as much of their beloved city as possible – including cookies shaped like the penguins at the aquarium, and the Citgo sign at Fenway. 🙂

The reception was held in a tent on the dock overlooking the bay. At one point during the night, we got a fantastic shot of Caitlin and Matthew with all of their BU friends. It was a really gorgeous location, and we were honored to be part of this special day!
