It was a beautiful spring evening when we got together for Andrea and Lee’s Engagement Session, set in Newport, Rhode Island. The birds were chirping, and there was just a slight breeze in the air and I knew this was going to be a fantastic session. We thought it would be great to use a field of daffodils as one our locations, as they are only out for a couple of weeks, and Andrea and Lee agreed that it would make for one-of-a-kind pictures.

Andrea and Lee are from Boston but spend a fair amount of time in Newport. A few weeks prior to our session, Andrea was visiting Sakkonet Vineyard and fell in love with its charm, and she decided it would be a beautiful backdrop for some of their engagement photos. When we arrived, it was late in the day, but we were excited to be able to take a few shots before they closed up shop. Rest assured, I was in it for the long haul – so I suggested we head back into downtown Newport and use the historic streets as a backdrop for the next round of pictures.

Andrea and Lee will be married on July 3rd at OceanCliff in Newport, Rhode Island, making it a mid-week wedding – giving it a destination feel. The happy couple has been together for almost 11 years, and Andrea’s ring is simply stunning – and as she says, “it was well worth the wait”. The couple chose all of the images from our Engagement Session and they are creating their own personalized guest book to share at the reception. I look forward to seeing what they do with the images we created! ☺
