Sara and Steve-Gerald’s Farm
Sara and Steve had a beautiful late summer wedding last year on August 31st, 2014 at her family’s property, Gerald’s Farm in Exeter, RI. Sara utilized her eye for creativity and the couple’s elaborate touch could be seen in every detail. A Mediterranean Rustic-Chic feel was the backdrop for a beautiful intimate weekend for their friends and family. In lieu of centerpieces, each of the 90 guests was given homemade herb-infused olive oil, The cuisine was coastal Tuscan fare. In Sara’s Own Words:
This blog entry is long overdue as I have sat down many times to write about my wedding day and I have to tell you it’s tough. It is hard to put to words a day that was and is summed up in one word “magical”. Every weekend I go out and photograph my couples weddings and have been doing so for the last 13 years. I watch you all say “I Do” and each time I see how beautiful and special love is in that moment of one promise that a husband and wife share. Watching friends and families come together sometimes for the first time to celebrate the unity. A wedding is not just “a wedding” it is a day that two families come together and the couple has everyone that they love in one place. That was how it was for Steve and I, because Steve is from Florida and I have many friends and relatives that are out of state. Our wedding was the first time we had everyone together in one spot.
I’m already guilty of wanting to turn back time to experience that day all over again. It’s bittersweet because you know you can’t, and that is what makes your wedding day one of the best days of your life. Everyone tells you that your wedding day flies by, so cherish it and experience every minute of it. It may feel like a whirlwind, but it is just one of those perfect days you want to visit again and again. That is the power of photography, and why being a wedding photographer is so special. I have seen so many couples walk down that aisle with the ones they choose to call their partner in life’s great adventures, and I thought I knew everything about weddings and about that day you spend with loved ones. I have now experienced it for myself and it IS everything it’s chalked up to be. It IS magical and euphoric. I hope that every one of my past and future couples will remember their wedding day with tenderness and a fondness like Steve and I do.
and now on to what you’ve been waiting for, the photographs!

BIG UPDATE!
The Sheally’s welcome Samiya May Sheally to the family!
Born May 29th, 7lbs 3oz and full of laughter.
As we say “Every Picture Tells A Story” – Labor Day Weekend, Steve and Sara celebrated their 1 year anniversary. A bit of nostalgia come over them as they remembered their perfect wedding. Exactly one year later, they went back at the exact time and the exact location to capture what the year has brought to them….little Sammi. They are thrilled to add a plus one to the Sheally crew. If one year can bring this much change, just image what the bright future will bring.
