Happy Anniversary, Kellie and Alex!
Our first photographs together were Kellie an Alex’s engagement pictures with Sara on the beach in Newport, Rhode Island. They are both natives to the Newport area, so they wanted to incorporate the beach and beach vibe because they were getting married at the Hotel Viking in Newport Rhode Island (no beach there). It was an awesome casual day at the beach. We were all very excited to shoot the wedding a few months later. 🙂
It was fun getting to know the couple – Alex is a character! In the months leading up to the big day, he would pop in to the studio for a quick visits when he was in the neighborhood. Sara is sure he won Kellie over with his charisma and sense of humor! You could see that both Kellie and Alex were equally as excited about the big event. 🙂
On the big day, Sara met Kellie at the Hotel Viking in Newport, Rhode Island, and our second shooter met Alex at his friend’s house in Newport, Rhode Island. We got some great shots of the couple getting ready to tie the knot, and then headed to a local park for some formal shots after the ceremony at the Kay Chapel at the Hotel Viking in Newport, Rhode Island.
We headed to the grand ballroom, which was just beautiful. The hot pink, coral, gray color scheme was perfect in the ballroom – this truly was a top-notch Newport wedding!
What a fun reception, too! It was a super muggy day in Rhode Island, but that didn’t stop the guests (including all the parents!) from dancing the night away! Sweet Moment: Kellie and Alex made sure Kellie’s parents got to celebrate their own anniversary with a special dance. Aww 🙂
This was a really fun-loving crowd. There was even a line out the door for the photo booth!
More happy news: Kellie’s sister just got engaged and booked us to photograph her wedding! How exciting it was when Sara got the call and Kellie said, “another family member is engaged and we want you to do the wedding”! Can’t wait to do it all over again next year (August) at OceanCliff in Newport Rhode Island with the family. 🙂
