We celebrated the best way we know how…with a Cake Smash!
Cake Smashes are such a fun way to celebrate your baby’s milestone of turning one year old! We were so thrilled to be able to experience it not only as a photographer, but now as a parent. How much fun is it to see your sweet baby dive into a cupcake nearly as big as they are? And the messier the better! We had a blast and it’s clear to see that Samiya enjoyed herself as well.
We styled this Cake Smash Portrait Session with a beautiful handmade cake from Sweet Indulgence in Cranston, RI in sweet and soft pinks, creams, whites, and golds. Taking inspiration from the cake, we chose a backdrop in a complimentary shade of pink and created a collage using paper fans and large golden confetti. All together it created a cute and feminine atmosphere for Samiya to have some fun and dive into that giant cupcake made just for her!
