Romantic Lakeside Wedding

For Casey and Stephen, a romantic lakeside wedding was inevitable. They met at the lake as kids, grew up riding jetskis together, and eventually falling in love. When they began to plan their dream wedding, Slack’s Reservoir was not their location BUT covid had other plans for them. Their celebration quickly became a backyard wedding and it was no surprise that the lake was going to be a prominent feature in their wedding day! Casey and Stephen had a truly beautiful wedding day and we were so honored to be a part of it! With their family and friends around them at their favorite place, they said “I do”. Their dog even joined them in the cutest little tux! We love just how much their wedding day was ALL about them and their special love story!! Fun fact, Casey made many of her details for her wedding!

A Tip for Our Couples…

Always have a back up plan!! For Casey and Stephen, getting married on the lake was pretty much non-negotiable. But, they worked with us and their vendors to create a back up plan in case the weather turned sour. For them, that meant having a backup date (the next day)! Although it did rain on their wedding day, we all knew that if it got bad, there was a second plan. There’s such comfort in knowing that you’ve thought about the worst case scenario and planned accordingly. So whether it’s a backup date or just the idea of renting a tent in case you need it, plan ahead! Not sure what your back up plan should be? Talk to your vendors about building a contingency plan.
