Katie and Steven had a beautiful summer Newport Beach House wedding here in Newport, RI. Newport drew this couple in as they were planning their dream wedding day after living and working in the area. The two tied the knot in an oceanside wedding before celebrating at the Newport Beach House with their family and friends. With beautiful pale florals and blue bridesmaid gowns, their entire day felt sophisticated and full of the coastal, beach-inspired details everyone loves.

The time of their wedding caused their preparations to start midday. Because of that, we had a great time getting creative with lighting for their portraits. Luckily, they chose to get ready at the Sea Breeze Inn. If you’ve never been, it has lots of shade and amazing backdrops! Katie and Steven also lucked out with a stunning sunset that resulted in some truly epic beach wedding portraits! What a gorgeous Newport Rhode Island wedding day from start to finish!

A Tip for Our Couples…

When you’re thinking about where you’re going to get married, don’t forget to think about the space you’ll get ready in! As your wedding photographers, it is our job to make sure your getting ready portraits are as beautiful as the rest of your day. But please, help us out! Look for spaces with lots of windows and natural light. Depending on the size of your wedding, consider how big of a space you might need for your girls to prepare. Same goes for the guys! And don’t forget – your getting ready space doesn’t have to be a hotel room! It’s common now to see brides and grooms preparing at home, AirBnBs or actually at the wedding venue. There are so many varieties of options. Just pick one that will make you feel extra excited that it’s your wedding day!
