There’s nothing quite like welcoming a new baby to our studio for their first set of portraits. It’s such an honor to be the ones responsible for creating your first family portrait together. We love documenting what makes your baby unique and special. Each newborn session is so meaningful to us. It’s one of the reasons we love creating custom setups for each baby that comes through our doors. 

What to Expect with Your Newborn Portraits

Newborn sessions in our studio are best done within 7-10 days of birth, when your baby is still very sleepy and willing to curl up easily. Sessions range in length, but you can expect to be with us for a few hours. We’ll work around your son or daughter. If they need to eat, be changed, or rest – that’s perfectly okay! To help babies sleep better in the studio, we always recommend that you keep your little one awake for an hour or two before the session. This helps us get more sleepy portraits, but it’s perfectly fine if your baby is more alert, too! Newborn sessions are a wonderful way to welcome your baby to the world and we can’t wait to help you plan your portraits!
