With beautiful ivory and gold details for the reception, and Melissa’s stunning gown, every detail was well thought out. They definitely brought the elevated vibe to their wedding day like they’d hoped!
Their wedding day isn’t the only thing that’s unforgettable about them. We had a really memorable engagement session with them too, here in Newport! Our session began off well – with lots of sun and then out of nowhere, it started to rain. Not just rain, but downpour!!! They powered through it and we truly had some beautiful portraits because of it. We just had to share one with you!

We’ve got a quick tip for you today about how to prepare for your portraits! When you’re preparing for portraits on your wedding day, make sure to empty your pockets and check your wrists. Things like cell phones and keys will show up in images if they’re in your pockets! The same goes for wrists – check for hair bands and fitness watches. They will stand out during your portraits, especially against your formal attire for a wedding day! Just toss your items in a purse or bag and grab them when you’re all done being in front of the camera.
