Katryn and Trey are officially married! Their fun and laid back Newport Marriott wedding here in Rhode Island was everything they envisioned and Dan captured their special moments perfectly. When we talked with these two about what they wanted their day to feel like, they told us they wanted a classic, romantic, and fun day. Katryn and Trey had some great ideas for their wedding portraits and we worked together to create a timeline that accommodated everything they hoped, including some portraits at Beavertail State Park in Newport, Rhode Island! Katryn and Trey thought of everything when they planned their wedding day, bringing some nautical elements into the Newport Marriott which really brought the city indoors. We loved this romantic wedding day!

The Newport Marriott is such a beautiful venue here in Rhode Island! The hotel is full of gorgeous pockets of light – and truthfully, we love the fun challenge it presents when picking locations for portraits. The lobby is actually one of our favorite places in the Marriott. We could spend tons of time there photographing our couples! The Newport Marriott truly provides a stylish wedding venue in downtown Newport with a waterfront view.
A Tip for Our Couples…
So many couples desire wedding photographers who focus on the natural moments and candid portraits of their wedding day. And, we love that too! But, in order to have those moments, we need to have a plan. All of our couples complete a ”must-have” list of images needed for us to photograph. Plus, we have a consultation call two weeks before your wedding day to discuss “details.” It’s important for us to know what matters to you so that we can plan accordingly. This helps give everyone a plan for your wedding portraits and truly allows the day to unfold more naturally. This is especially true when you want additional locations for your portraits, like Katryn and Trey. Your wedding day is a once in a lifetime event! That being said, let’s make sure we have a plan so we don’t miss a thing!
