Karin and Darran live in the tri-state area. She’s a buyer working in the fashion industry, and he is a reporter. I met them just a few days before the wedding when we did their engagement shoot in Newport. They chose Oceancliff in Newport, Rhode Island for their wedding during 4th of July week. They decided to make a week of it with their family and friends. Fun!
What great chemistry these two have. You know, every bride says that that most important thing to her is the moment her groom first sees her. Well, that moment for this couple was very special. Darran had to take off his glasses to wipe his tears. He’s obviously very much in love with Karin. My assistant was with him while he wrote his vows, and it was very emotional for him. I’m happy that we captured that moment for them.
The day of the wedding, Karin said all she wanted was the sand on her feet. Since there’s no beach access at Oceancliff, we hopped in the car and drove a little bit to get some pictures on the beach. It was a misty day and they were troopers. The camera loves these two!
