Julie and Chris exchanged vows on Saturday, June 12, 2010. The rain came but it certainly didn’t ruin their parade!!! Julie and Chris both hail from Rhode Island but their families are dispersed all over. The wedding day was an intimate gathering of friends and family who came together in Newport to celebrate Julie and Chris‘ nuptials with them.
The day began at the Hotel Viking in the suites where Julie and Chris were surrounded by their family and friends as they prepared to unite.
After a fire drill (haha!), we headed to St. Augustine’s Church in Newport, where their lives were joined in front of their loved ones.
From there, we took a little excursion to the historic setting of the local library, which made for a charming backdrop. After we quietly photographed the couple we joined the rest of their party at the Hotel Viking for some more formals and cocktail hour. The group may have been small but the laughter and smiles were big!
Golden Gate Studios provided sublime florals and did a wonderful job tying them into Julie’s wine / red theme. The quaint cocktail hour was followed by an AMAZING four course fine dining experience, complete with exquisite china and linens. The evening closed in the outdoor cigar lounge.
Julie and Chris are both so sweet and friendly – it was a joy getting to know them and their guests. The newlyweds will be honeymooning in Dublin, Ireland and upon their return, they will be greeted by their photographic memories!
