Heather & Katherine | Intimate Elopement at Home |  Middletown, RI

Weddings

Heather and Katherine are married! This spring, the newlyweds hosted an intimate elopement at home in Newport Rhode Island, surrounded by about 20 of their closest loved ones. They envisioned a simple wedding day that focused solely on their love and relationship, avoiding the extra fuss and stress. We believe it turned out perfectly!

Before their ceremony, Heather and Katherine prepared together, wearing beautifully coordinated outfits—a dress and suit. They put great effort into styling their ensembles, and the result was stunning, as evident in the photos taken throughout the day. After sharing some quiet moments, Heather and Katherine walked arm-in-arm into their ceremony and spent most of the evening that way, enjoying time with their family and friends. We captured wedding portraits on the picturesque Middletown, RI property, complementing the beautiful dress session we held a week earlier in Providence, RI. This session allowed for more portraits and variety in their final gallery.

Congratulations again, Heather and Katherine! The joy on your faces as you said “I do” and called each other “wife” was truly special. It was wonderful to be part of your wedding day, and we’re so happy for you!

Intimate Elopements at Home

Your wedding day should be exactly what you want it to be. Whether it’s a grand 300-person event at a mansion in Newport, RI, or an intimate celebration at home with family, your wedding day is yours to design. Downsized weddings remain popular even four years post-COVID, offering a chance to use your budget creatively, keep things small, or enjoy a quiet celebration. No matter the reason, plan the wedding day that feels best for you as a couple.

A Tip for Our Couples…

Heather and Katherine knew they wanted portraits featuring the classic architecture of Newport, RI, even though they were getting married at home. To achieve this, we scheduled a Dress Session about a week before their wedding day to capture photos in locations they wouldn’t have time to visit on the actual day. Whether before or after your wedding day, dress sessions are a fantastic way to get photos in your wedding attire at meaningful or important locations, without the stress of fitting it all into your wedding day timeline.
