If you’re looking for a traditional, classic and formal wedding day in Rhode Island, Catey and Lucas’s Glen Manor House wedding will definitely make you lean in! Catey and Lucas had a stunning autumn wedding that was full of moody tones and romantic touches. They chose to get married at the Glen Manor House in Portsmouth Rhode Island, and like Catey told us, it made everyone feel like they were part of a fairy tale! And, she made the most beautiful Cinderella!!

When we asked Catey and Lucas what they really wanted from their wedding day, they told us they wanted to do the Glen Manor House justice. With all black bridal party attire, lots of gorgeous gold accents, and the moody florals they chose, we think they did just that! Our #SZPDreamCouple (s) seriously have amazing style!!! One of the best, most memorable moments of Catey and Lucas’s wedding was when Lucas’s fraternity brothers sang. It was something so unique and special that they’ll never forget!  Oh, and not to mention Catey’s father’s speech was one for the books and one we will always remember!

Glen Manor House Weddings

Glen Manor House is a historic manor on the water in Portsmouth RI. It’s grand, it’s full of memories, and truly stunning. The property lends itself to formal affairs that wind up being very unique. One of the most exclusive, or uncommon parts of this house is that there is no central ballroom. Instead, reception and dinner tables are generally split between the rooms of the house, lending themselves to more intimate moments and engagements with your guests. It’s such a fun twist on how receptions are typically set up! In addition, the home and the grounds are impeccable, giving couples lots of options for their photography!

A Tip for Our Couples…

Looking for something special to mark the morning of your wedding? Why not try a first look with your dad (or all of your immediate family members)? For brides and their fathers, there’s something really sweet about having a first look. We’ve captured some really emotional moments because of these first looks – and they’re just fun! If you want to add even more of a twist, add your brother or other siblings to the first look too. Whatever you decide, make it meaningful to you, and you will treasure it forever.

Behind The Camera

Sara Zarrella

Owner & lead photo novelist

Nice to meet you! I’m a pint-sized (frequently caffeinated) fireball of energy, and building genuine connections is at the heart of everything I do. One of the most meaningful parts of what we do is watching our couples go from “I do” to starting families, then returning for newborn and family photography, and even branding sessions as their lives and businesses grow. Being part of every season of your story is truly the heart of what we do.
