Erika & Steven – Kirkbrae Country Club

Weddings

Let your friends set you up, ladies! I bet that’s the advice Erika would give after meeting her husband on a blind date! Erika and Steven shared the story of how they met during their engagement session. I love stories like theirs.

The happy couple said “I Do” on April 16, 2011 at Kirkbrae Country Club inside with Frank Camera, JP officiating. The glass was broken while friends and family yelled mazel tov a.k.a “CONGRATULATIONS”!

A moment I’ll never forget from their wedding day: As we prepared for “first look” photos, Steven waited at the waterfall with his back turned.   Erika started walking toward him, and just as Steven turned around, a big gust of wind blew by and Erika’s veil completely blew off and up into the air!  It didn’t go too far… it got caught on a tree, and as we stood there wondering how we were ever going to get it down, Steven spotted a random, tall, red ladder just “hanging out” on the neighbor’s property.

Steven proceeded to save the day by climbing the ladder and grabbing his bride’s veil!  I have been back to Kirkbrae many times this year and never have I seen the red ladder again in the neighbor’s lawn.  Moments like these do tell a story… a story of irony or can we say being at the perfect place at the perfect time….um?   I am going to say Erika and Steven where at the perfect place at the perfect time. Sometimes life does not go as planned but with a little LOVE, a little LAUGH, you learn to LIVE life to the fullest.  Mazel Tov Erika and Steven!

Sara Zarrella

Owner & lead photo novelist

Nice to meet you! I’m a pint-sized (frequently caffeinated) fireball of energy, and building genuine connections is at the heart of everything I do. One of the most meaningful parts of what we do is watching our couples go from “I do” to starting families, then returning for newborn and family photography, and even branding sessions as their lives and businesses grow. Being part of every season of your story is truly the heart of what we do.
