Rebecca and Michael’s gorgeous Castle Hill Inn microwedding was so special and a true honor to capture. These two, like many other couples this year, changed their wedding a few times. Originally, they were going to be getting married at RoseCliff Mansion. But, they were unfortunately forced to downsize their wedding. Instead, they wound up having a beautiful, intimate Castle Hill Inn wedding day instead with their absolute closest friends and family, and no one was disappointed!

They’ve been together for many years, so when it came down to revising the guest list, they were in luck. With her family, his family, and then a third group of their mutual friends, most of the people that mattered the most were able to make it, despite the changes As they told us, they were just happy to be able to even have any guests at their day so they enjoyed every second they could! No matter how you look at it, there was A LOT of love in that room for Rebecca and Michael!

Rebecca and Michael really worked to maximize their Castle Hill Inn microwedding, even having their first dance almost immediately after their ceremony at the overlook. It was a great way to have that special moment since they couldn’t have live musicians at the inn! We are SO impressed with our couples and their ingenuity this year! Congratulations, Rebecca and Michael!!!

Castle Hill Inn Weddings

Castle Hill Inn sits on a gorgeous peninsula surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean and Narragansett Bay. With views for miles, between the lighthouse, and the historic estate, there are so many incredible spots for your wedding day to take place. To us, there’s nothing more quintessential Rhode Island than bay views and a classic lighthouse! We love wedding days here because they’re full of the salt air we love and provide such beautiful spots for our couples to be photographed. Castle Hill Inn can accommodate both small, intimate weddings and big events, so it’s perfect for anyone dreaming of a waterfront Rhode Island wedding!

A Tip for Our Couples…

Although microweddings are becoming popular because of COVID-19 and all of the restrictions on wedding days, they are always going to be relevant. They’re just more popular than they were before because of circumstances beyond anyone’s control. But, when things calm back down, there’s nothing wrong with still choosing to have a microwedding day. There’s something really special about the atmosphere of a small wedding – and, after being a part of so many days (big + small!), we’re definitely experts! For some couples, the intimacy of a smaller wedding will always be the best fit and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that! We love it!
