OceanCliff Hotel Wedding in Newport RI

Alyssa and Benjamin’s wedding at OceanCliff Hotel will always be one wedding we remember. Not only was Sara very pregnant when we photographed this day – it was one of our last two weddings before the baby! But, it was also one of our first “normal” feeling weddings after the pandemic. Alyssa and Benjamin always knew they were going to get married on their planned wedding day, no matter what it looked like. But, they lucked out with the covid restrictions relaxed at the last minute. And they were able to enjoy a “normal” day with their guests. They constantly amazed us at their flexibility and resiliency as they worked through the roller coaster of emotions around the restriction changes, but it all came together beautifully!

The newlyweds had a truly stunning spring OceanCliff Hotel wedding day full of classic details and a gorgeous view here in Newport, RI. With navy blue and gold decor everywhere, they truly brought the ballroom at the hotel to life! And Alyssa and Benjamin were just SO incredible the whole day. You could tell they were so excited to be getting married. From the moment they first saw each other during their first look to the last moments of the night, they were just smiling non-stop. Congratulations, Alyssa and Benjamin! Your day was stunning and we’re so happy we could be with you!

OceanCliff is beautiful because it’s such a great balance of waterfront property and historic estate. This property provides an elegant option for those couples looking for an oceanfront view! Their ballroom has literally one of the best views of the water in the area. We can’t get enough of it! We love photographing weddings here because of the variety it provides us all. It’s obvious we’re obsessed with OceanCliff’s incredible, traditional architecture and the water views.

A Tip for Our Couples…

Wedding days can be stressful and long for everyone involved. But, the little things our couples do for us as their wedding vendors can truly go a long way and make us feel appreciated. Alyssa and Benjamin made us feel so special – and it’s something we will remember forever. Sara headed out for the night while Dan stayed to capture the reception for these two and Alyssa insisted that Sara take a hot meal from the kitchen with her! It wasn’t necessary at all but it was so thoughtful (and appreciated at 8 months pregnant!). Those little things you do to show your vendors that they’re special to you means so much to us!
