Kristen and Christopher had a gorgeous OceanCliff wedding day in Newport, Rhode Island – and as you know, Newport is one of our favorite places to photograph! These two stuck with a simple and gorgeous palette for their wedding day full of ivories, navy, and blush which complimented the beautiful space at OceanCliff perfectly. Their wedding day was full of elegance while still keeping a fun, Newport vibe…. Fun Little Fact: Kristen’s mom hand painted all the fabulous watercolors you see! Talent!!! We love when our couples can really bring such a fresh feel and inspiration to older, more historic venues.

Additionally, The happy couple opted for a first look before their wedding ceremony so we were lucky enough to have tons of time for some gorgeous portraits around OceanCliff and also on the beach on Oceandrive! Uh, YES!! One of the best parts of OceanCliff for sure is the views! We even snuck the newlyweds out during the reception for some last minute sunset portraits which was great because it was the perfect time to show off Kristen’s second dress. Yep, SECOND dress! Of course, she rocked both beautiful looks during this incredible day!! Kristen and Christopher, we had a wonderful time with you celebrating your special day at OceanCliff! A Tip For Our Couples…

We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again… First looks have a positive domino effect on your wedding day. When you choose to do a first look, you’re able to spend more time with your spouse-to-be because you have a one on one private moment with each other… hello emotions! You then get to capture all your must have photos with your family and bridal party portraits! And in Kristen and Christopher’s case, a first look allowed them to have time to drive ALONE the long way back from their portrait location to their reception spot. Can you even imagine having time together, alone, on your wedding day to relax? We were beaming when these two gave us a huge thank you and drove off!

A Bonus Tip!

A quick second tip for you, too… we’re all about the free stuff today! When you choose vendors for your wedding day, choose carefully. We know it can be easy to choose someone cheaper or less experienced, trust us. But these vendors are going to be working with you on the biggest day of your lives. Make sure they’re someone you like, have fun with, and can trust. Not to toot our own horn, but we are more than just photographers! As you’ll see, we’re going to be there for you no matter what!

People might think it’s cliché, but we LOVE being more than just your wedding photographer. We want to be part of it all. Let’s celebrate with you on your wedding day.

We will be present not only as your photographer but as a friend. We will hold your dress for you, even sew it for you if need be. Our team will put your veil on. We will bustle your dress, and make sure your hair is on point. Sara and Dan will give you a big hug and cry out of pure joy because you read your soon-to-be hubby’s card on your big day. We will make sure everything behind the scenes runs smoothly so you can be truly present and stress free on your wedding.

All of us care just as much as you do that your day is everything you ever dreamed and we can’t wait to help all of my amazing couples have the day of their dreams!

On this wedding day, we even became seamstresses for our bride! You read that right!! Poor Kristen tore the front edging of her dress during some of her portraits. But, Sara was able to just whip out her emergency kit and stitch her dress back up! While we won’t promise to be professional seamstresses, we promise to be there for whatever you need on your special day! We’ll be there for you the entire day. Our team will laugh with you, and cry with you! We’ll capture every moment of your special day (while having fun, of course) but you’re more than just clients to us. You’re family.
