Ali and Bryan’s Gurney’s Newport Resort wedding wound up being our last wedding before COVID-19 impacted our early spring 2020 weddings. Of course, at the time, we had no idea that this cozy winter wedding would be the last one we would photograph for quite some time till late spring / early summer. Looking back on it now, it makes it even more special to us. Ali and Bryan’s day was so beautiful and full of emotion for so many reasons. It was a great reminder for all of us to celebrate the happiness and joy that comes with wedding days!  Everyone deserves to have their wedding day filled with all those they love in one room!

Ali chose to honor her mother with white flowering branches scattered throughout her wedding day (symbolizing her mother being with her). Along with honoring her mother, she made sure to include her other family in the day as well. Her nieces got ready with her, and we made sure to get some special shots of the ladies together! From start to finish, their entire wedding day was genuine and heartfelt.

Given that Ali and Bryan got married in the winter, it’s no surprise it was chilly outside!!! But, they were troopers and we got some classic Rhode Island wedding portraits around Goat Island before their day was over. It was definitely worth braving the cold! Ali and Bryan, your wedding day was magnificent and so very special to us. Thank you for letting us capture the start of your forever as an #SZPDreamCouple!!

Gurney’s Newport Resort Weddings

If you’re looking to host a classy, upscale wedding in Newport, RI Gurney’s Newport Resort is the place to be. Booking Gurney’s means that you will have a front row seat to the Newport Bridge and the breathtaking ocean view that wraps around the New England lighthouse. Not only is the location stunning, but the property itself is exceptional, too! With a recently renovated indoor space, the neutral décor provides an awesome option for your wedding portraits. With an ocean view from the reception space, you’ll feel like you’ve got the best of Rhode Island wrapped up in the room!

A Tip for our Couples…

Ali chose to do a Red Boot Boudoir session before her wedding day. It was a great way to celebrate her upcoming wedding – both for her, and as a gift for Bryan. Boudoir (Red Boot Boudoir) photography is a HUGE trend and just getting more and more popular! It’s a perfect Groom’s gift and a special something for you also!  You’ve been working hard on your wedding body and they’re so empowering. It’s such an exciting way to make the time leading up to your wedding a bit more fun and exciting; all the while making you feel strong and sexy… and like a bride.
