Jessica and Alex | Glen Manor House Wedding | Portsmouth, RI

Congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs.! Jessica and Alex’s beautiful Glen Manor House wedding this summer was romantic and elegant. We can’t wait to share it with you! When Jessica and Alex began to plan their RI wedding day, they absolutely fell in love with Glen Manor House. From the gardens to the proximity to the water, it is the perfect spot for a celebration.

Jessica and Alex chose to tie the knot in an outdoor ceremony under a gorgeous floral arbor with the water behind them. We explored the grounds together afterwards. Alex’s classic white tux jacket and Jessica’s stunning lace detailed gown looked amazing all over the manor! They ended the night with an elegant wedding reception, featuring an ivory and neutral color palette, which accented the classic tones of Glen Manor House perfectly. It was a truly gorgeous wedding day! Thank you for letting us celebrate with you, Jessica and Alex!

Glen Manor House Weddings

Glen Manor House is a historic manor on the water in Portsmouth RI. It’s a grand location for a wedding in Rhode Island. Perhaps our favorite thing is that there’s no formal ballroom. So, reception and dinner tables are generally split between the rooms. It’s such a fun twist on how receptions are typically set up and perfect if you have a smaller group to celebrate! With beautiful gardens and a historic house, this venue is a dream come true for couples dreaming of a classic RI wedding day.

A Tip for Our Couples…

First looks are a great addition to any wedding day! Consider having a first look with your parents, bridesmaids, siblings, or grandparents. They don’t have to just be for you and your (soon-to-be) spouse. First looks are all about another chance to celebrate your wedding day and give yourself a little extra time to soak in the excitement. We have some great resources about how to build first looks into your timeline, including our podcast episode here and more tips on the blog! If you want to add a first look (or a few!) to your wedding day, make sure to work with your photographer and planner to fit it into your timeline.
