Brianna and Justin | Gurney’s Newport Resort Wedding | Newport, RI

Brianna and Justin are married! They’re so sweet – and they’re high school sweethearts, so they’ve been waiting for this moment for a long time. When they began planning their wedding day, they knew they wanted a celebration that felt fun and high energy, while still capturing the beauty that they love in Newport. Brianna and Justin quickly fell in love with Gurney’s Resort (who wouldn’t?!) and knew it was the perfect fit for them almost instantly.

While most of their celebration was onsite there, Brianna and Justin wanted to have a first look at The Elms before their ceremony. It was a great idea. Honestly, we can’t say it enough: if you can do an offsite first look, definitely go for it! Now Brianna and Justin have portraits that capture the historic mansion vibes of RI, and plenty of the nautical vibes from Gurney’s, too! We ended the night with the most romantic sunset portraits along the waterfront, and it was truly the best way to wrap up Brianna and Justin’s day. Congratulations to the newlyweds. We’re so happy for you!

Gurney’s Newport Wedding Day

We love waterfront wedding days at  Gurney’s Newport Resort! This stunning Newport venue provides an unparalleled view of the Newport Bridge and the breathtaking ocean view that wraps around the New England lighthouse. It’s truly one of the most gorgeous event venues in the area and definitely one of our personal favorites. Inside, the neutral décor provides an awesome option for your wedding portraits and ceremony. Gurney’s Newport is a wonderful option for anyone looking for a modern venue with an unforgettable view!

A Tip for Our Couples…

Wedding days are one of the best days to show off your personal style – from your signature look to a new pair of special shoes. Just don’t forget to break in those new shoes! And men, that means you too! If you’re purchasing a new pair of dress shoes for your wedding, make sure to break them in properly so they’re comfortable on your big day. The last thing you want is to be in pain or tear up your feet. Walk around in them and ensure they’re a perfect fit so that you’ll enjoy your wedding day!
