Abigail and Anthony | Gurney’s Newport Wedding | Newport, RI

Abigail and Anthony are married! We celebrated with them at Gurney’s Newport Resort (one of our favorites!) this summer. Abigail and Anthony immediately fell in love with the romantic vibes and garden spaces of Gurney’s. They knew they could bring their own fairy tale to life – and that’s exactly what they did! With an outdoor ceremony along the waterfront and the lighthouse in the background, they officially became husband and wife.

Afterwards, we photographed them all around the grounds finding the perfect spots for their portraits – and with their little pup, too. Abigail and Anthony planned an elegant wedding reception in the ballroom at Gurney’s Newport. They decided on simple and beautiful centerpieces with ivory and pale pink flowers and created a gorgeous seating area out on the patio! It was a great way to encourage guests to enjoy the beautiful sunset over the bay! Congratulations, Abigail and Anthony! Your entire day was absolutely stunning and we’re so happy we could be with you to celebrate!

Gurney’s Newport Resort Weddings

Dreaming of an elegant and romantic waterfront wedding? Gurney’s Newport Resort will be the perfect venue for you! Located in Newport, Rhode Island, guests and couples have a beautiful view of the Newport Bridge and the ocean that wraps around the New England lighthouse. It’s one of our favorite spots in Newport! Their indoor spaces are neutral and newly renovated, allowing for couples to bring their own personalities and touches to the space!

A Tip for Our Couples…

If you’re writing your own vows, like Abigail and Anthony did, work on them before your wedding day! Whether you write them on your own, or work with a vow writing coach like Tanya (we interviewed her on the Wedding Secrets Unveiled! podcast), preparing ahead of time is the best way to make sure they’re done for your big day, and are everything you want. After you’ve written your vows, make sure to practice. After all, practice makes perfect – and will help you feel more confident about reading them during your ceremony. We always love when couples write their own vows, so make sure to check out Tanya’s interview for more tips!
