Newport Beach House Wedding with Portraits at The Elms

Congratulations to Carly and Tom! The new Mr. and Mrs. planned a stunning Newport, RI wedding day with a ceremony and reception at the Newport Beach House, as well as portraits at The Elms. Getting to photograph them in some of the most beautiful spots that Newport has to offer made our jobs easy! Carly and Tom prepped for their day separately before meeting for a first look and many of their portraits at the Elms. Afterwards, we all headed to Newport Beach House for their beachfront ceremony. It was absolutely beautiful! Carly and Tom lucked out with a gorgeous sunset for some nighttime portraits during their reception, too! We love sneaking our couples out for sunset photos and dramatic nighttime images – it’s always a highlight in their galleries! Their day was full of black and white details – and everything looked amazing! You can tell how much time and love they put into planning every moment of their celebration. When planning out your wedding portraits, consider your venue. Think about what kind of imagery it lends itself to. For Carly and Tom, they got married at the absolutely stunning Newport Beach House – which is a great spot for waterfront ceremonies and sunset portraits on the beach. They knew that they also wanted portraits that felt rich and luxurious, so they rented out The Elms, one of the homes in Newport RI for a very different look. There, they had their first look, family portraits, and their own portraits. A second location can be a great way to extend the variety in your final images and create more special moments on your wedding day.
