Benjamin & Nicole | Hotel Viking Wedding | Newport, RI

Congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs.! Benjamin and Nicole tied the knot in downtown Newport, RI and their details were elegant with a modern flair! We had the joy of working with them both as their wedding photographers, and also for their photo booth at their reception at the Hotel Viking. It was great to be with them all day long and help capture their wedding memories. From the start, Nicole and Benjamin knew that they wanted to have a really modern and luxurious event. With a classic church ceremony and the dramatic Hotel Viking wedding reception, we think they nailed it! Take a peek at their emerald green velvet dresses and Benjamin’s velvet jacket. Both were cutting edge with total style, perfect for this Hotel Viking wedding.

Hotel Viking Weddings

Located in Downtown Newport, the Hotel Viking is an incredible icon for Rhode Islanders. It sits on top of Historic Hill, the original centerpoint of the town. With an onsite chapel and elegant reception spaces, it’s a gorgeous option for couples looking for an elegant and modern event. Additionally, because the Hotel Viking is an operating hotel, you can book room blocks for your guests – making your event that much easier for everyone attending to celebrate with you! If you’re planning a Newport, RI wedding day, be sure to add Hotel Viking to your list of possible venues!!

A Tip for Our Couples…

When it comes to portraits at multiple locations on your wedding day, consider the Rule of Travel. Take the time between two locations and add at least 10 to 15 minutes more than it should take you. For example, a location that’s 5-10 minutes away by car will certainly be at least 30 minutes between travel there and back, loading up the bridal party or necessary people, and actually taking portraits. We don’t say this to discourage you from wanting to have portraits at secondary locations – as your wedding photographers, we just want you to consider your timeline. If you’re interested in a second location for portraits, consider what’s really close by to save your timeline. You’d be surprised what’s often within walking distance of most venues! Make sure to tell your photographer if you’re interested in a second location and they can help you determine the best options.
