Megan & Andrew | Fort Adams Wedding | Newport, RI

Megan and Andrew are married!! Their Fort Adams wedding day was so special to all of us vendors, but especially us. I (Sara) consider Megan to be a friend so photographing her big day was a true honor. We met while she worked at Gurney’s Newport Resort and now, she works for the Preservation Society at RoseCliff (another favorite of ours)! When Megan and Andrew began planning their wedding, they wanted to create a day that was everything they wanted AND supported the wedding industry. COVID-19 really hurt a lot of us, but it’s people like Megan and Andrew that remind us WHY we do what we do.

Since Megan and Andrew purposely planned their wedding during the pandemic, they knew their entire day would be small and intimate. But, even with a smaller wedding, they worked with their vendors to create a beautiful, detail-focused wedding day. It as a great reminder that a small weddings can still have beautiful details, especially since you aren’t pay for as many guests! Fort Adams created an intimate setting for their romantic day and we’re still SO honored and grateful that they asked us to be their photographers. Congratulations again, Megan and Andrew! Your day was truly stunning!!

Fort Adams Weddings

With beautiful views of Narragansett Bay and Newport Harbor, Fort Adams creates a romantic spot for wedding days. They have a few gorgeous options for your ceremony and reception, including the actual fort and their lawn. Both a great choices for couples dreaming of a wedding day with breathtaking views! We love working at this one of a kind Newport, RI wedding venue!

A Tip for Our Couples…

Memorial tables and displays are commonplace at wedding ceremonies and receptions, to celebrate those who cannot be present during your special day. While these are a beautiful way to celebrate life, sometimes our couples want something less obvious and more personal. During her wedding day, Megan slipped out of the celebration with us to document a few special portraits commemorating her cousin. It was just a few photos of her holding a lit lantern in the dark, but they’re a beautiful and touching memorial for her to remember the person she wished was able to be by her side that day. These moments don’t have to always be advertised or shared with all your guests. Sometimes a quiet recognition can be enough. We’re happy to help you capture these special memorials in a way that’s most meaningful to you!
