Samantha & Matt | Squantum Association Wedding | Riverside, Rhode Island

High school sweethearts Sam and Matt are officially married!! Our team loved capturing their beautiful Squantum Association wedding in Riverside, RI. Sam and Matt are really sweet and totally in love. Their wedding truly captured who they are and had perfect little details to bring in their hobbies and interest to share with their guests! After falling in love in high school, the two tied the knot in a gorgeous ceremony under the huge tree right on the lawn at the Squantum Association. It was the perfect spot for two people who love nature (especially for Matt, who absolutely LOVES birds and plants!). Dan had a blast exploring the grounds at the Squantum Association Island for their portraits throughout the day! Each time we photograph there we find another little nook or crazy to do some amazing photos! This property is seriously a dream!! We photograph weddings here at least 4-5 times a year and each time we find something new and love venturing all around!

The details of Sam and Matt’s wedding day were designed around their interests – the outdoors! Are you a lover of birds? Wait until you see their unique seating chart that has portraits all types of birds. The reception decor was heavily inspired by the couples interests. And they had games during cocktail hour for their guests to play inspired by game nights with their “tabletop” game crew! To top it all off, Sam and Matt chose to have a friend officiate their wedding – which meant personalized vows and ceremony! Love it!!!

Squantum Association Weddings

Squantum Association is really beautiful and unique property in Riverside, RI. This gorgeous venue provides a variety of wonderful options for couples who choose to get married there. You have access to the main house and reception hall which has spaces to get ready. Plus, there’s a great balcony for cocktail hour! Then, there’s a few options on Squantum Association Island outdoors – including the wooded ceremony location that Sam and Matt chose. This venue is great for couples who want a waterfront property while still getting character from a more woodsy venue. It’s the best of a lot of worlds, if you ask us!! And imagine how gorgeous the fall foliage is?! Fall brides, this is a must see venue!! It’s perfect for both spring, summer and fall!

A Tip For Our Couples…

Don’t be afraid to include whatever makes you two special in your day. For Sam and Matt, that was reception details like their seating chart designed around birds and table top games for the cocktail hour as they love themselves a good old game night. During your cocktail hour is actually a great time to infuse some of your interests in the day! It’s a great time for guests to mingle – and what better way than something like tabletop games or a photobooth (Check out Rock Your Booth if that’s your thing!) to bring out the kids in your guests? Your wedding day should reflect the things you love, so go wild! Think outside the box… what is your interest? How can you add that little touch to your wedding day?!

A huge thank you to the vendors who made this day possible!
