Happy Anniversary, Kayla and Joe! It’s been a year since you said, “I do” – and so much has happened since! 😉

Our journey together began at Kayla’s family farm, where we had their engagement shoot. What a fun (and meaningful) location for them! I got to meet the family too, which was very special for me – it’s always fun to meet the family before the wedding. We created Kayla and Joe’s guest book from images from this day!

The Big Day

Fun Fact #1: The happy couple got married on my parents’ anniversary. 🙂

Fun Fact #2: I had admired Kayla’s ring when I first saw it. Coincidentally, I met with another couple recently who are getting married this January at the Omni Hotel in Providence Rhode Island (just like Kayla and Joe did). This couple came to me through Kayla and Joe’s images on the Omni’s website. During our conversation, I mentioned how much I loved Kayla’s ring. Turns out – this was the jeweler who created Kayla’s ring! Oh, Rhode Island – how small of a state we live in! So thank you Kayla for giving inspiration to my own engagement ring!

The beautiful full mass ceremony at Blessed Sacrament Church in Providence, Rhode Island was lovely. The church is gorgeous, with a dome and pretty interior – my camera loved it. 🙂 Of course we took a few photos in the church after the ceremony. I must say Kayla’s dress was just fabulous with detailed lace sleeves…take a peek for yourself 🙂

The décor at the Omni Hotel in Providence Rhode Island was breathtaking. With great uplighting, a beautiful cake, and gorgeous florals, the Omni looked absolutely grand.

Sweet Touch
Kayla and Joe had a framed timeline at their guest book table that listed all of their important dates:
6.29.09 – first date
8.09.11 – she said yes
12.1.12 – wedding. So cute! 🙂

This crowd definitely knows how to party! Between beautiful speeches by both sides of the family, guests made good use of the Photo Booth provided by Sara Zarrella Photography, and danced the night away to tunes courtesy of Flipside from Boston (who has played before for the family at other parties)!

The excitement doesn’t stop there! Since the big day, Kayla has come in to the studio for her maternity shoot – and Kayla and Joe now have a little boy, born this past September! 🙂   I had the pleasure of photographing their Newborn Shoot at the Sara Zarrella Photography Portrait Studio and he is just perfect. 🙂 Born with a full head of hair, he is a true combination of both mom and dad. I also hear that Kayla’s sister just got engaged. So happy to hear all the wonderful news that your family has been blessed with.

Pro Tip – find a photographer for life. Let them be there for “I do”, baby, and for when the family grows. You will create a bond with your photographer and they will get to know your family as it grow and your child will become more and more comfortable with them taking their photos. It’s so special to me that I’ve been there for two out of the three! Kayla and Joe are now friends of ours, and we are happy to be part of their life. 🙂
