As I pack up to head back down to Newport for a wedding today, I’m thinking of you today, Jennifer and Matthew – on your anniversary!

It seems just like yesterday… gosh, how fast a year goes by! 🙂

Jennifer and Matthew tied the knot on the oceanfront lawn next to the Atlantic Beach Club in Newport, Rhode Island where they said “I Do”.

When I arrived in the room where Jennifer was getting ready, I noticed all the details that Jennifer and her mother included in her big day: M&Ms with their wedding date, champagne glasses with bridesmaids names on them… just to name a few. I love a bride who cares about the details, and I had a field day photographing all her TLC!

It was a really beautiful day, but then around the time the ceremony was about to start, the fog rolled in. It was all good though, because we were able to get some really cool effects on the photos as the two tied the knot – and as soon as they got married, the fog lifted up again. 🙂 Talk about a really cool backdrop!

There were lots of sweet details at their navy blue, white and green-themed reception, too! Jennifer and Matthew had a “Wish Tree” as their guest book, where they asked their guests to share some wisdom about marriage. Really cute! 🙂

The whole vibe of the day was very laid back and lovely – just how Jennifer and Matthew are as a couple! Victor from Victor Events brought the energy to their reception of a night filled with dancing and celebrations (at one point, Jennifer was even “guest DJ”).

Fun Fact: these two have been together for years… the running joke was that they “finally” tied the knot! Wishing you many more years growing as a couple. 🙂
