Heather & Ian – Roger Williams Casino – Providence, Rhode Island

Update

We are excited to announce that Heather and Ian’s love story was published in

Southern New England Weddings Magazine 2014.

Happy Anniversary, Heather and Ian!

Heather and Ian are from Rhode Island, but living across the country where they are stationed, as they are both in the military. This was a destination wedding for them, and they are even going to be featured in Southern New England Weddings Destination this year! Props to them both for planning such a perfect day from overseas.

We did the engagement session at the beautiful Newport Vineyards, in contrast to their wedding, which took place at Roger Williams Casino in Providence, Rhode Island. Notice Ian’s pink sneakers? Yup, this very masculine military guy LOVES the color pink. He even wore pink at his wedding, and it all totally works. Pink looks great on both of them! 🙂 OH and of course his pride possession (other than Heather) made an appearance at the engagement session – his car.

On the big day, I met Heather at her parents’ house in North Providence where she was getting ready. She looked stunning in her wedding dress… and, of course, pink shoes. 😉 Their four-legged children where there barking away as she (mommy) got into her dress.

After a beautiful ceremony, we headed to the reception, with a pit stop at Blue Grotto restaurant in Providence, Rhode Island. Heather and Ian met there, and they wanted to be sure to stop for pictures. The whole bridal party got out and everyone posed – so fun! Of course their dogs came along to for photos in the park.

The reception was full of all of the things that are important to them – their adorable dogs, and lots of close friends and family. We got some gorgeous shots in the park with the fall foliage. And they even did a carousel ride with everyone!

There were fun touches, too – a beautiful display of their love letters to one another while they where separated overseas, and an Old Hollywood theme that was super cute. Check out their cake topper! 😉

We were honored to be included in such a special time for these two! Wishing you lots more love, pink, and happiness. 🙂

PS: Heather, I missed our 4 a.m. emails as I was editing away! (At random hours of the night, Heather, being all the way across the world, would always be able to email back and forth with me late night. We chatted about fun wedding planning and album designing!)
