Happy Anniversary, Katharine and Ryan!
The lovely bride and groom came to Rhode Island for a destination wedding. They make their home in Massachusetts, so they brought their guests to town to enjoy a taste of Rhode Island! The big day was HOT, with a beautiful breeze coming off the water. Just a dreamy day on the lawn at Blithewold in Bristol Rhode Island. Sara remembers telling Katharine how very lucky she was… everything just flowed perfectly. 🙂
To start the day, Sara met Katharine at the Hilton Hotel in Providence, where we got some shots of the bride preparing for her big event! From there, we headed to St. Luke’s Church in Barrington for a beautiful wedding ceremony.
Then it was off to Blithewold in Bristol Rhode Island! During cocktail hour, it was picture time. Ohh, does Katharine LOVE having her picture taken – a total photographer’s dream! Ryan joined in the fun and was “GQ-ing it” with his friends, and then joined his guests at cocktail hour. Katharine and Sara continued with their little modeling shoot – what a joy of a bride she was to work with. 🙂
Everything was stunning, from the ring (which Ryan remembered Katharine admiring in antique shop :-)), to the bridesmaid dresses, which were all the same blue/gray tone, but different styles. The setting was equally as beautiful, and we took advantage of the night sky by getting a shot of Katharine and Ryan outside of the tent with the party behind them. It turned out beautifully, and Luke Renchan from Luke Renchan Entertainment even uses this shot for his promotional materials. 🙂
We know that the happy couple recently purchased a home, and they are settling into married life quite nicely. 🙂 Oh and great news – Katharine and Ryan are pregnant and due this upcoming December. We have the honor of photographing her maternity images at the Sara Zarrella Photography Portrait Studio this October. She even surprised her hubby with a beautiful canvas that we shot on their wedding night for their anniversary gift. How crafty is Katharine!
