Happy 1 year Anniversary to Shadi and John!
We often attend events where we have the opportunity to meet brides, or couples, in need of photography. Sara was lucky enough to meet Shadi at a tasting event at the Biltmore in Providence, Rhode Island (and get to try all the yummy food the Providence Biltmore has to offer). Shadi is absolutely as sweet as she is beautiful, and I was so happy that we where available on her wedding date and we were able to accommodate her and John.
A little backstory on the couple: Shadi is a native of San Diego while John is a New Englander; they met while they were both in Las Vegas and decided to keep in touch. After a few trips (okay maybe a lot of trips back and forth to Rhode Island and San Diego), they had fallen in love and Shadi decided that the East Coast would be her new home.
Shadi adores all things Old Hollywood, glitz, glamour, and sparkle! The bold but elegant Ceremony, featured in Southern New England Weddings Destinations Magazine this past year, was held at the historic Biltmore Hotel in Providence, Rhode Island. With hot pink bridal shoes, and her bridesmaids decked out in sleek black gowns clasping hot pink flowers, Shadi’s Hollywood glitz touch was evident throughout. At the close of the ceremony, doves were released and everyone cheered as the happy couple shared a kiss (What a fabulous and fun touch).
Being in the car business, John arranged to have one of his fabulous antique cars to be at the Biltmore before the reception began. Of course we snapped some fun photographs of the newlyweds (John with his two ladies-his car and wife) As we entered the Grand Ballroom for the reception, we saw that all of the centerpieces had gemstones tucked into them and they were shimmering like tiny stars. 🙂 Persian dancers performed, allowing Shadi’s culture to be included in the festivities.

The Great News They Are Having A Baby Girl!
Shadi’s Shadi’s mom, who is just as lovely as Shadi, recently asked us to photograph Shadi’s baby shower! It was a perfect day filled with joy and family; some of Shadi’s girlfriends from California were even able to be there, and it was great to see them all again.
Last week, I had the honor of photographing Shadi’s and Johns maternity session, and we are looking forward to photographing their newborn session as well! ☺ (once the little one arrives) Shhhh cant say the name….
