Gina & Paul – Belle Mer – Newport, Rhode Island

Happy Anniversary to Gina and Paul ☺

Engagement Session Fun at Bryant University!

Gina and Paul are Bryant Alumni, so photographing this carefree and fun loving couple at the place where they first met, Unit D4 at Bryant University, was an absolute must. And since it was summer break during our session, there was nobody occupying the unit (and it even happened to be unlocked!) we were actually able to take some photos inside the unit (shhh… don’t tell anybody)! Gina and Paul reminisced, and even commented that Unit D4 “smelled the same” as it did during their college years. As Paul, a major sports fan, donned his Bruins jersey, we made our way down the road to a bar where Gina and Paul often hung out while attending Bryant. We laughed over drinks and took some really fun photos at their local college bar – truly capturing the couple’s bond.

The Big Day-They Said I Do!

The day of the wedding was perfect. Gina and Paul chose to have a full Catholic mass held at St. Gregory’s in Warwick, Rhode Island. Belle Mer was decorated in an elegant, minimalist-sleek style with shades of pink and black throughout. Just fabulous for the décor of the sleek Miami feeling that Belle Mer offers. As Gina prepared at her home in East Greenwich, Rhode Island, both her mother and Paul’s mother sat in their matching bathrobes holding hands and crying with tears of joy. It was truly amazing to see how these two families merged as one. In Tiffany Blue shoes, Gina walked down the aisle to meet Paul as friends looked on.

After the ceremony, guests made their way to Belle Mer for a laid back and FUN reception. It was emceed by Victor at Victor Events, and Gina and Paul had us do the Sara Zarrella Photography Photo Booth. There was endless amounts of laughter with their family and friends. It was clear to us that the majority of these friendships go back to childhood. Paul’s brother gave a brilliant speech, complete with a cute video they made, where they portrayed Gina and Paul (with very sophisticated acting of how Gina and Paul first met back at Unit D4)! The bride and groom danced their first dance as husband and wife to “History in the Making,” by Darius Rucker.

As the celebration drew to a close, the guests were presented with custom-labeled cigars wrapped in shades of pink and black (their wedding colors). Gina and Paul’s wedding was such a fabulous event that some of their wedding images were featured in Southern New England Weddings Destinations magazine this past year!
