Happy first Anniversary to Jamie and Domenic! I have had the absolute pleasure of working with the happy couple for several momentous occasions over the past year.
About a year and a half ago, I met Jamie and Domenic at Café Nuovo for a glass of a wine before embarking on their Engagement Session, with the picturesque Providence skyline as the backdrop. Domenic’s other love is his cars and his motorcycles, so I was happy to incorporate his bike into a few fun photos.
After our time in the city, I followed the couple to Domenic’s mother’s home, where Jamie was under the impression we were taking more photos. Surprise – an engagement party was in full swing! It was a lavish outdoor affair with an open bar and catered food. This surprise event provided me with the opportunity to meet the couple’s friends, family, and wedding party. Jamie was so happy with the images from that day that she chose to use them for their Save the Dates!
Where it Began….
Wedding Day!
After a lovely church wedding, we traveled to Domenic’s mother’s home for a garden chic reception designed to accommodate those guests unable to celebrate with the couple later that evening at Ocean Cliff in Newport, Rhode Island.
With uncooperative weather and easy going bride, we utilized Plan B and headed to the State House in Providence, Rhode Island for another round of photos before heading to our final destination – Ocean Cliff in Newport, Rhode Island.
The inspiration for the big day came from their trip to Italy where they were engaged. The décor was very romantic with shades of champagne, gold, purple and clusters of candles everywhere.
Guests were greeted by Italian-themed ice sculptures, delectable Italian cookies, and a cappuccino bar. Ready for a fun-filled evening of dancing and celebrations, Jamie slipped into a flirty, sexy party dress and danced the night away with her new husband. She flipped the script!

A new addition!
A few months ago I was so thrilled to see Jamie and Domenic at Sara Zarrella Photography Portrait Studio for their Maternity Session! Jamie was glowing, as the birth of their daughter was just a few short weeks away. Layla Grayce was born on April 12th, 2013 at 11:37 am weighing in at 7 pounds 4 ounces. One of my favorite things about my job is when couples come back and give me the honor to be the first person to photograph their little one. Jamie and Domenic purchased the Sweet Expectations Package to announce the arrival of their Princess.
Next up for the new family: I will be going to their house to design wall portraits to fill their home with all of these special memories. ☺
