Kelly and Patrick tied the knot on September 3, 2011 at a beautiful cathedral, and celebrated at The Providence Biltmore. I had such a fun time at their engagement session, and they have become friends of mine! Patrick has a love of Photoshop and will call me occasionally for tips. 🙂
John from Wedding Stories handled videography, and did a beautiful same-day edit for them. The Spiderman cake (yes, Spiderman!) was courtesy of Scrumptions. Patrick is a huge Spiderman fan, and Kelly just embraces it, which is so sweet. So – they had a Spiderman cake, a Spiderman cocktail and the groom wore Spiderman cufflinks! I love when a wedding incorporates a couple’s unique interests!
Kelly was absolutely breathtaking on their big day. Every bride is gorgeous on her wedding day, but Kelly absolutely took my breath away. I met up with her at the Biltmore while she got ready, and my assistant met Pat at the house. At one point, I was able to pull Pat aside to take some shots and he was so sweet – he said, “I get my Sara time!” We were sure to get some really cool city shots that day, because Patrick loves architecture.
The reception was so much fun, with a choreographed dance by the bride and groom, and the Photo Booth, which is always a big hit!
The day after the wedding, I woke up to the most beautiful note on Facebook. Kelly and Pat were so thankful that I was able to capture their special day. I can’t tell you how much it means to me when a couple expresses their appreciation. These two are so sweet, open and willing to let me be creative. They trusted me – and as a result, their photos were stunning.
