Newborn Sessions with Rhode Island Family Photographer

Being a photo novelist in Rhode Island encompasses more than merely capturing a couple on their wedding day. Our utmost delight lies in tracing a couple’s journey as they transition into a family and documenting their baby’s initial portrait session. We offer various photography options, including studio newborn portraits in Rhode Island, lifestyle family portraits, and Fresh 48 sessions, to immortalize those precious moments during your baby’s first days with you.

When to Schedule Your Rhode Island Newborn Session

Many new parents reach out to us after their baby’s birth, but we strongly recommend securing your session before the baby’s arrival. It’s essential to plan your newborn portraits while you’re still expecting. Our studio at Gerald’s Farm only accommodates a limited number of studio sessions each week, so reserving your spot is crucial. Typically, newborn portraits occur within the first two weeks of life, ensuring we can readily accommodate you on the calendar.

What’s Included in Your Newborn Portraits

Welcoming a new baby can be overwhelming. That’s why we aim to make your experience at our studio as hassle-free as possible. Your only responsibility is to bring your newborn and anyone you wish to include, such as parents, siblings, or grandparents. There are no additional fees for involving mom, dad, and your baby’s siblings. We prioritize focusing on the baby initially in our cozy studio before involving older siblings and family members, ensuring everyone remains content.

We offer an extensive selection of outfits for your little one, including hats, wraps, blankets, onesies, along with a variety of props and backdrops. In the lead-up to the session, we will discuss the colors you’d like to incorporate into your portraits.

A useful tip to consider when planning your newborn session is the color scheme and theme of your home. Your baby’s newborn photos will grace your living space, so contemplating complementary colors is beneficial for creating a cohesive display.

Storybook Album from Your Newborn Session

Following the photography session, one of our favorite options is crafting an heirloom storybook album for your family’s enduring enjoyment. Our Storybook Albums are printed on archival paper and are acid-free. The thick pages ensure durability, resistant to bending or wear. Once the design is complete, we’ll select a beautiful album to safeguard your images, and we can even produce smaller gift versions for sharing with loved ones.
