Spring OceanCliff Hotel Wedding in Newport RI

Congratulations Ashley and Cameron! This spring, Ashley and Cameron tied the knot at OceanCliff Hotel. The wind was on point to create amazing photos with Ashley’s veil and dress! Ashley and Cameron’s wedding was absolutely gorgeous – with all ivory flowers and black attire for their wedding party. Ashley’s orchid bouquet was a show-stopper! Every decision screamed elegance and it wound up being a beautiful day. Ashley and Cameron’s wedding ceremony took place on the lawn at OceanCliff Hotel overlooking Narragansett Bay before capturing portraits under the incredible architecture of the hotel. The castle-inspired look was actually one of the things that drew Ashley and Cameron to this venue in the first place. The newlyweds spent the rest of the night dancing away with their loved ones at their beautiful reception with ivory and gold details inside the ballroom. It was the perfect ending to their spring OceanCliff Hotel wedding day!

A Tip for Our Couples…

One of the reasons that couples love first looks on their wedding day is because they often give us a chance to capture more portraits in a secondary location. But, when you have one partner who isn’t totally sold on the idea of a first look (which is okay!), many couples wonder if there’s still a way to capture more portraits. We encourage you to sit with your photographer and look for ways to build in pockets of time for other portraits. For Ashley and Cameron, we built in time to go to a second location in the morning for Ashley’s portraits. She was able to have some beautiful images photographed of herself off-site and then freshen up for the ceremony – all without a first look. It was a great compromise for them since Cameron wanted to keep their traditional aisle reveal!
