Congratulations, Jenna and Tyler! They hosted an incredible 3-day wedding event in Newport, Rhode Island this summer. Amazingly, they did it all without the help of a planner. Jenna was incredible and pulled together a really great vendor team and a beautiful Catholic-Indian Fusion Newport Beach House wedding for their family and friends. With her planning and the oversight of appointed family/friends, Jenna and Tyler’s wedding weekend was truly a huge success! 

The weekend kicked off with a welcome dinner for the (almost) newlyweds. The next day, they held their Catholic ceremony at St. Mary’s Parish in Bristol, Rhode Island and captured many family formals. The following day, they held their Indian ceremony at Newport Beach House. Their Indian ceremony overlooked the beach and their reception was full of so many gorgeous pastel colors, lots of fun music, and two incredible looks for Jenna. It was a wonderful weekend celebrating two amazing people and we’re thrilled we could be there for Jenna and Tyler!

A Tip for Our Couples…

When you have a wedding that’s going to last multiple days, like Jenna and Tyler did, filled with cultural formalities, make sure to talk with your photographer in depth about what’s going on. Not all photographers have experience capturing all types of ceremonies, so it’s important to explain what to expect and what they can (or can’t!) photograph – and what matters most to you. Experience really does come into play during ceremonies like the one Jenna and Tyler had, but even just taking the time to have these discussions will make a huge difference. If you’re going to have a multi-day event, consider finding out if your photography team will be the same across those days, too. This will help with consistency and  communication about timelines and the cultural aspects of your celebration.
