Kindra & Jason | Gurney’s Newport Resort Wedding | Newport, RI

Congratulations to Kindra and Jason! When they reached out to us about capturing their intimate Gurney’s Newport Resort wedding, we couldn’t wait for their laidback wedding day. Kindra and Jason are are very sweet! We had a lot of fun photographing their wedding with their children. It was clear from the start that they wanted their wedding day to celebrate the blending of both families. Dan had a great time capturing the candids of their little ones having a blast (which was one of the requests from the bride and groom).

Seriously, believe us when we say: this was a fun day!

One thing we love about wedding days is that no two weddings are ever the same. It was so fun to be at Gurney’s for a morning weekday wedding. It mixes things up from weekend night weddings! Keeps it fresh! Kindra and Jason wanted their ceremony outdoors but the wind was absolutely crazy that day so they tied the knot inside instead. Afterwards, they were able to enjoy lunch there with their families. And, despite the weather, we still managed to get some portraits by the classic lighthouse. It was the perfect Newport wedding day!

Congratulations, Kindra and Jason! We’re so happy for you both. Thank you for trusting us with your memories – and your beautiful family!

Gurney’s Newport Resort Weddings

If you’re looking to host a classy, upscale wedding in Newport, RI Gurney’s Newport Resort is the place to be. Booking Gurney’s means that you will have a front row seat to the Newport Bridge and the breathtaking ocean view that wraps around the New England lighthouse. It’s one of our favorite spots in Newport! With a recently renovated indoor space, the neutral décor provides an awesome option for your wedding portraits and ceremony.

A Tip for Our Couples

Wedding days truly come in all sizes. Whether you’re dreaming of a BIG bash with 300 of your closest friends or want something more intimate and focused on your immediate family, do what feels right for you. Kindra and Jason knew that they wanted their day to be truly focused on their family, especially their kids, so they built their wedding day around that. They chose to have an early day wedding that lended itself well to a brunch celebration. And then they could spend the whole day with their friends and family. Bottom line… Plan the day YOU and your partner want – not what you’re told or think you have to do. There’s no right way to plan your dream wedding day!
