Atlantic Resort at the Newport Wyndham Wedding

Gianna and Nicholas had a beautiful winter Atlantic Resort at the Newport Wyndham wedding day that was filled with twinkling lights and all of the joy of Christmastime. These newlyweds had a day packed with traditions and family-centered moments, including a great reception with tons of dancing! From the smallest details, like the stones in Gianna’s ring that had been passed down for generations, to the bigger moments, like Gianna being walked down the aisle by her mother, it was so clear how much these two love their big families!

Gianna and Nicholas dreamed of a formal, winter wedding. Because of a stunning lace detailed gown and Nicholas in a black tux, they definitely looked the part. Amazingly, we lucked out with some truly beautiful spots downtown with the Christmas lights twinkling for their wedding portraits. Although we did a lot of portraits earlier in the day because of the winter light, we managed to capture some of those fun lights as the sun set!

We loved all of the holiday inspired colors and décor for the day. Perhaps the most beautiful detail was Gianna’s bridesmaids’ fur shawls. They looked so cozy with their gold and ivory wedding bouquets! Elegant gold and white floral centerpieces added to the already stunning reception space at the Wyndham. Everything truly felt like a winter wonderland!

Congratulations again, Gianna and Nicholas!!! Your winter wedding was breathtaking and we loved being a part of it!

A Tip for Our Couples…

Embrace the season you’re getting married in! If you’re having a winter wedding like Gianna and Nicholas did, lean into it. For example, you could wrap your girls in their furs! Then, enjoy that all of your wedding portraits will be done earlier in the day (thanks early sunsets!), and find some fun twinkling Christmas lights to incorporate into your portraits. There’s something truly magical about every season. Be positive about it and find reasons to bring the season into your wedding day… especially when it’s Christmastime!!

And, don’t forget to think about what it’s going to be like on your wedding day. If you’re getting married in the middle of July, dark black tuxes may not be the smartest decision… like strapless dresses in December. Don’t fight the season you’ve picked, use it. Simply put, it’s such a great way to make your day even more special!! BIG tip, the sun sets earlier in the winter so a first look is a total must if you want daytime photos or making sure you have an early ceremony!
