A Great Way to Support Your Local Community:
We can’t sit on the sidelines and not help other fellow small businesses owners during this time of need. Being a small business owner for over 17 years (in fact, we just celebrated our birthday this past March), we understand firsthand the pressures. We launched the Rhode Island branch of the #FrontStepsProject by using social media to spread the word. The response was overwhelmingly positive! We had over 350 families, couples, and individuals join in a matter of 3 hours! To take it all on, we recruited over 12 locally-based Rhode Island Photographers to help us tackle our long list. #CommunityOverCompetition
It was the most amazing experience for all of our souls! We kept not only a 6 feet distance apart, but more like an 8-15 foot distance, as we used our zoom lenses. We photographed couples, families, and even individuals. Just being able to see the smiles on everyone’s faces reminded us how much we need human interaction. Yes, you can be a “ homebody,” but we are ultimately social creatures and when this is all done, the community will be back together again in physical form. For now, though, it’s time to social distance (hence us being over 6 feet away, and wanting to do this project in the first place). The amount of small businesses that we’re all helping is amazing!
