Graduate Providence Wedding | Alexa & Gabriel

Alexa and Gabriel had a truly gorgeous wedding day!! Their beautiful Graduate Providence (formally known as The Providence Biltmore Hotel) wedding day was stunning from start to finish. The newlyweds envisioned a black tie affair and they created a special day for their family and friends to help them kick start their marriage.

Alexa and Gabriel got ready for their Providence wedding day separately with family and opted to not have a first look. Alexa’s wedding gown was simply stunning – the lace floral details on the straps were perfect! She looked absolutely fabulous!!! Am I right or am I right?!!! And Gabriel made sure he got the top of the line suit for their black tie affair. He looked pretty great too! Side note: Men if you don’t own a suit or tux – use your wedding day as a great excuse to purchase one… then you have a fabulous suit or tux to wear to any future events! We get to work with some beautiful couples, don’t we?

A Black-Tie Wedding

Alexa and Gabriel had a beautiful and traditional church ceremony at The Cathedral of Saints Peter and Paul to tie the knot. People underestimate the beauty of a classic church wedding sometimes, but Alexa and Gabriel didn’t! After they were officially married, they headed out for a few portraits with a classic car in front of the church. Even though it had drizzled a little bit earlier, we were still able to get them outside for portraits! YES!

We headed inside The Graduate Providence (formerly The Providence Biltmore) and photographed the rest of the bridal party and tons of gorgeous portraits of Alexa and Gabriel. We absolutely love how classic and timeless the images of them in The Graduate Providence turned out! Before long, it was time for their entrance into the reception. Their gold and ivory details were absolutely beautiful! Through toasts and dancing, the newlyweds were all eyes for each other. Everyone had a great time partying away!

A Tip For Our Couples…

Be practical and realistic about your timeline and communicate with your photographer what is important in regards to images and your “must have photos”. Leave room in your timeline for travel and don’t underestimate how long it may take to move from each location and of course don’t cram to much into one day (especially if your not doing a first look) save time in your timeline and plan accordingly with your photographer to make for a stress free day! One of the best things Alexa and Gabriel did was explain to us during their final consultation that quality photography was something that was most important to them. They didn’t want to be stressed on their wedding day – heck, they even wanted to go to their cocktail hour if they could! Alexa and Gabriel had a large wedding party – aka, LOTS of loved ones (family and friends). They were realistic about the fact that moving everyone to a second location for portraits was probably not going to work. Instead, they trusted us to do our job: create beautiful portraits at their reception location. Being realistic in your timeline, expectations, and trust means that we can do our job a lot easier for you! Take the time to tell us about what matters most to you, what images are important and we’ll help you create a realistic timeline for your wedding day.
