Mackenzie and Tri Are Married | Hotel Viking | Newport, Rhode Island

Mackenzie and Tri Are Married | Hotel Viking | Newport, Rhode Island

We love the variety and uniqueness that we see in each wedding we photograph and we love when couples incorporate their religion, family traditions, and other special details into their wedding day. Mackenzie and Tri had a very unique and beautiful wedding in November at the Hotel Viking in Newport, Rhode Island. They wanted to include the more traditional American style weddings with Tri’s Vietnamese traditions. The result was a beautiful celebration of family history and forging new traditions. Mackenzie rocked her red and white wedding dress, as well as the rest of the wedding party donning Vietnamese formals for the ceremony. Everyone was having so much fun and we loved seeing the two different families interact with one another. You could tell there is so much love between them. The tea ceremony was especially a sweet moment as the new bride and groom served each other’s parents tea. After the touching ceremony we headed outdoors to enjoy the amazing fall day and to take Mackenzie and Tri’s wedding portraits around Newport. Afterwards, everyone had a quick outfit change and it was like photographing a whole other wedding. From the red dress with an updo to the class white dress and Tri’s suit and tie, these newlyweds were transformed! We had a second “First Look” as they saw each other for the first time in their new ensembles and after some romantic portraits outside of the Hotel Viking we made our way to the reception. We were so happy we could capture the emotion during the speeches – the looks of love and gratefulness on Mackenzie and Tri’s faces, as well as everyone else in the room, was touching!

Mackenzie and Tri, you had an incredible wedding. It was beautiful, full of laughter, family, and love. It perfectly reflected who you are and was an amazing start to your journey together as husband and wife. Thank you for honor of allowing us to photograph your wedding day – we are so glad you chose us!
