Crystal and Lee – Where Are They Now

Crystal and Lee are one of our couples we have been journeying alongside since the inception of their relationship and we have been continuing to travel with them through major milestones in their lives. Lee popped the question on a Block Island ferry excursion. She remembers him behaving quite strangely and thought he was going to break up with her when he took her to the deck. Instead, he began to well up, knelt down and asked for her hand in marriage!

Their Engagement Session was our first “date” and though it was sunny and appeared to be a typical Summer day it was done in October. It was photographically ideal but whatever the weather … all you can see is how they feel about each other and that’s what is important.

The weather continued to play tricks on them for their fabulous wedding too. They both had their hearts set on exchanging vows outside and as their wedding date drew closer, the weather predictions became more and more ominous. On the 29th of June, 2008, daybreak arrived clouded in fog and gloom however, Mother Nature smiled upon the happy couple yet again and produced a splendid day wrapped in endless sunshine! You can read more of their story which was featured in Newport Wedding,2008-2009 Issue.

They were married at OceanCliff before of 225 excited guests. Instead of using a conventional guestbook, they chose to have a “Wish Bowl” for guests to share their happy thoughts and well-wishes for the newlyweds. The creativity spilled over into their table assignment placards which were attached to chocolate covered bride and groom apples. Brides for the ladies and Grooms for the gentlemen!

Their Storybook continues to be written. They came back to ask us to chronicle the pregnancy and arrival of Logan or Lee … they couldn’t decide and opted to wait to put the name to the face. On 19 May, 2009 at 11:00am the stork delivered a 5.10 lb, 18.5″ long little gem now known as Logan.

We’ll be seeing each other more and more as the family continues to expand. We’ll soon be photographing Lee’s brother’s Engagement Session this coming Fall.
