Congratulations to Gillian and Mirza! They’ve officially tied the knot!!! Our team was so thrilled to be a part of this gorgeous summer Squantum Association wedding day to celebrate these newlyweds. Gillian and Mirza’s wedding day was one full of traditions and meaningful moments with their friends and family that were an honor to capture. Gillian had a moving first look with her father – but none with Mirza, which meant the moment she walked down the aisle was SO special to them both! The two designed a simply stunning day focusing on what mattered most to them: being together.

Being an adventurous couple at heart meant that we got to enjoy some fun portrait options! Dan took Gillian and Mirza to the rocks on the island and got some incredible portraits of them from above. It’s such a creative way to use Squantum Association’s incredible landscapes for some gorgeous portraits! Thank you for trusting us to capture your beautiful day, Gillian and Mirza! Squantum Association Weddings

Squantum Association is one of our favorite Rhode Island wedding venues! We love any chance we get to explore this gorgeous location with our couples. The Squantum Association is a phenomenal property here in Riverside, RI and provides a variety of options for wedding days. From the beautiful getting ready suite to a balcony for a cocktail hour, every style wedding will flourish here! Throughout the summer and fall, the island really comes to life with florals, greenery, and then as the fall hits, the changing foliage. The added bonus of a waterfront property while still maintaining the wooded feel makes the Squantum Association even more perfect for couples who desire something a bit more rustic!

Oh, and don’t forget to celebrate with a bang! Couples have the option of firing a cannon onsite to let the world know they’ve tied the knot! It’s a fun little way to celebrate and something unique to Squantum Association.

A Tip For Our Couples…

We’ve all heard it: opposites attract! But, as is true with most cliches, it’s really pretty true. Gillian and Mirza had a pretty significant height difference. So, when it came to posing them in a way that looked natural and helped them both look fabulous in the final photo, our team relied heavily on their expertise and knowledge. So, our advice to you couples out there: whatever you might be worried about, let us know.

Choose a photographer that has a portfolio that shows they love working with everyone! If you’re confident in their ability to showcase your day and both of you in a way that makes you look and feel fabulous, you’ll be much more relaxed on your wedding day. And, if there’s something worrying you, communicate it to your photographer. Whether it’s a big height difference or how you feel you look from one side, share that with us. We’re here to make you feel fabulous, confident and beautiful, no matter what!
