Sydney and Michael are officially married! Their gorgeous Bonnet Shores wedding was simple and sweet – and a joy to capture. Sydney grew up in Rhode Island, so it seemed fitting for her wedding day to be here, and Michael was all about it! In an intimate, waterside wedding at Sydney’s aunt’s house, the two tied the knot. It was a down and dirty wedding in the sand, and we don’t think that these two would have had it any other way!
Syndey and Michael created their wedding day to be very casual and simple with a classic, fun twist! With a first look on the rocks along the shore, the two felt right at home. After all, Bonnet Shores is where they started their relationship. Michael would jump off the rocks all the time when they were in college and Syndey (well, she watched)! Ha! Well, maybe she jumped once or twice 🙂 No chairs were on the beach for their ceremony as they chose to exchange vows with their toes in the sand – and their guests’ toes, too!! As the sun set, and the party started, their elegant style came through as everyone had a fun time during their tented wedding reception. To sum up their wedding it was amazing how they brought chic decor and style to a casual and intimate affair. Some serious reception goals!

A Tip for Our Couples…
Build a wedding day that means something to you! If that’s a wedding filled with moments that remind you of Lil’ Rhody, then do it! If it’s a traditional church wedding with a reception somewhere you love to eat out together, go for it. Whatever you choose, make your wedding day about the two of you. This is a special day to celebrate your journey with each other and your wedding (especially) should reflect that. Be sure to have it captured professionally to preserve images of your closest family and friends! Sydney and Michael chose to keep their day simple and casual, which meant less stress for them, and their day really showcased just that. For the two newlyweds, it was important to have their closest family and friends around to celebrate and witness them say, “I Do!” Oh, and have a BIG party! Of course, photography is important, so no matter how BIG or how little your wedding is, find your perfect photographer to capture it all. Sara Zarrella Photography photographs everything from intimate beach vows with just the couple there, to large 400 plus wedding affairs. Remember, it’s always about the moment, and the memories you take with you, but the photos we capture are there to help keep your memory fresh. It’s our wish for all of our couples that their wedding day is everything THEY love and that they have it preserved forever!
