DeAna and James had a beautiful spring wedding at the Belle Mer in Newport, RI. Another absolutely stunning wedding in Newport! DeAna and James fell in love with the Island House because of the light and modern feel of the venue. And our team couldn’t agree more! DeAna got ready in the upstairs space of the Island House, which we totally recommend for all our couples saying “I Do” at Belle Mer a longwood venue! It’s literally the perfect space – a photographer’s dream! Such a clean canvas, lots of natural light… it’s a gorgeous area/room! Oh and did we mention you have a front row seat to the Newport Bridge? (PS, guys – if you’re looking for a great option to get ready in, look at Gurney’s Hotel – where James got ready!).

Although it was a rainy Rhode Island day, we were able to get DeAna and James outside for their first look! Goat Island was brilliant and did not disappoint – the light fog/mist added to the magical feeling of the day by creating a mystical atmosphere. DeAna and James also created a beautiful outside setting for their ceremony at their Belle Mer wedding. We loved that they brought lanterns and florals into the outdoor space. It helped create a pop of color against the modern white venue. Despite the rain, DeAna and James were also lucky enough to get the outdoor ceremony they had planned! It was perfection – they were absolutely thrilled and in love! The rest of the evening was spent celebrating with their friends and family – and we loved the little Polish traditions (and jokes) thrown in throughout the night!

Our studio’s style is very much organic. We want to capture your story as it unfolds and don’t want to force any moments between you, your spouse, guests, or family. But, we will work with you to create a shot list because we understand that your day matters – and the way you remember it matters too! Although we shoot organically, we want to know what’s important to you so we can make sure that we capture those moments unobtrusively for you! Helping you create a photographic shot list (aka “must have” photo list) is powerful and important to us! After DeAna and James saw each other for the first time after their “first look” we dived into their “shot list/ must have photos” before we got ready for the big moment ….as they said “I do” to be officially husband and wife! We want to know what means the most to you! So let’s create and plan a must have photography shot list prior to your wedding so your day is easy and breezy like the saying goes “easy like Sunday morning” ha!
