Double Wedding at Kirkbrae Country Club in Lincoln, Rhode Island

It was a beautiful day for a double wedding! 🙂

Leslie & Jason along with Tanya & Andrew were engaged the same year, so they decided to share their special day together. We where honored to be their photographers for their double wedding. How special – two sisters getting married on the same day to their future husbands – it’s a double wedding with two beautiful brides!

I met the two couples at Leslie and Tanya’s parents’ house, where the “First Look” took place in the beautiful backyard garden. Their family definitely has a green thumb – it’s a little oasis back there.

The two sisters have their own distinct personalities, and it was awesome to see both of their styles represented on their special day. Leslie’s dress was romantic and glamorous with plenty of glitz, while Tanya’s was couture vogue with hand-made detail on her dress and a bedazzled bouquet that she made herself. Oh and Leslie also bedazzled her shoes on her own 🙂

Leslie’s groom (Jason) is funny and laid back – a lovely complement to her personality, as she is radiant and calm. Their son was an important part of their ceremony, and you could really see how the happy couple is blessed with such a handsome little guy. 🙂

Tanya has been with her kid-at-heart groom (Andrew) for years. Fun Fact: he always has chocolate in his pocket! Of course he kept sneaking Hershey Kisses from his pocket all night long.

We got some beautiful photographs at Roger Williams Park before the ceremony at Kirkbrae in Lincoln, Rhode Island. What a treat it was to be able to photograph this double wedding! It was so sweet to see Dad walking both the girls down the aisle at the same time, and both couples exchanging vows simultaneously! They even added a special touch by releasing butterflies at the end of the ceremony. 🙂

After the cocktail hour, everyone headed in to the ballroom at Kirkbrae for the reception, where the couples had their first dances together – they both chose “A Thousand Years” by Christina Perry as their wedding song!

What a fun reception – it was quite large, with 3 families and lots of friends! The rest of the evening was very special, with both girls dancing with their dad during the father daughter dance, and a slideshow presentation showcasing each couples’ different love stories. 🙂

It was really awesome to see two sisters with different styles and personalities coming together for the same reason – to celebrate love and get married!
