The big day for Marissa and Joe was May 1, 2011! They celebrated at Crystal Lake with their friends and family close by.  I was able to spend some time with the lovely couple last fall when we photographed their engagement session. I met Marissa and Joe through Rhonda and Joel. Rhonda is Joe’s cousin and Marissa babysits little Liam! I was also lucky enough to photograph other events for friends of theirs. I like to think I’m their Family Friend Photographer! 🙂

We started our shoot that day at the family farm, where we got some great shots of Marissa with her grandparents, who happen to live at the end of Marissa and Joe’s long driveway!  We then headed to the beautiful Catholic ceremony, and on to Crystal Lake. It was a gorgeous day, as you can see! The details at this celebration were fun – lots of pretty greens, handmade items and beautiful lanterns for centerpieces.

I look forward to spending more time with Marissa and Joe at other weddings, and more life event sessions! 🙂
